GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip, Oct. 1 - Israeli troops pushed deeper into the Rafah refugee camp on Friday, as the Israeli government continued to debate a plan to withdraw from the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

The Israeli military said it had killed 10 Palestinians in the camp, including a 12-year-old boy, and wounded 15 others. The Palestinian health ministry said 11 Palestinians had been killed and 20 wounded.

The Israeli military said it had killed two Palestinian gunmen and that the other deaths were the result of “friendly fire.”
